Kray Z Comics and Stories 343: Glorious

We had a bunch of special episodes, so Cory!! and Joe haven’t talked comics and geek stuff, so it’s a comics potpourri of comics, TVC, movies, books and the like. So, they discuss:

  • More talk of hot dogs, fruit pies, and breakfast cereals
  • Skype is mad at Joe.
  • Joe had a Saturday off and hit BlizzardWorld Convention in Minneapolis and a couple of comics shops.
  • For President’s Day, Cory!! lets Joe know who his favorite president is.
  • Star Trek Discovery,. What did Cory!! think?
  • Joe discusses his feelings on the upcoming Star Wars films.
  • Why did they upgrade the special effects in Star Trek the original series?
  • Stuff from the new Previews that is going to drain their wallets.
  • Ragnarok by Walt Simonson
  • They both discuss Box Day!

Solitaire Rose Radio 72: A Chat with the Casefile Arkham Crew

It’s the return of Solitaire Rose Radio, and we have our Three favorite returning champions on the show. Writer Josh Finney, Artist Patrick McEvoy and Editor Kat Rocha are here to talk about their second Casefile Arkham book “Her Blood Runs Cold”, the second Hank Flynn P.I. Story which combines Lovecraftian horror with 40’s detective noir for a story that we gave a GLOWING review of on Kray Z Comics and Stories a month or so ago.

It’s a wide ranging conversation on everything from the process of creating the book, why people are still scared by Lovecraft and how 01 Publishing is working hard to earn their Motto: No Safe Spaces.

Especially when the Elder Gods are involved.

It’s all about the 80’s as Dangerous Dan Mohr, Wolfie B Bad (Of Everyday Gods and the Bad Advice podcast) and Adam Vermillion of Panels and Pizzas team up with Cory!! and Joe to talk about their favorite comics of the 80’s! They also discuss:

  • The TMNT cartoon!
  • Mini-comics of the 80’s!
  • Cory!! uses Dan’s dad.
  • Dan is shocked that Jack Kirby did Jimmy Olsen comics
  • Dan, Joe, and Adam talk for a long time about Transformers. Cory!! fell asleep.
