They also talk about special flavored potato chips, the return of Hostess and the maiden name of Mrs. Freshly. That’s right, it’s a comic book podcast, friends!

OK, they DO eventually talk about comic books, and as they tell stories about one of the local shops setting up at the San Diego Comic Convention which leads into Cory and Joe talking about the news from San Diego that they are excited about. We start the podcast with Cory!! talking about how his job has become a medical liability. That’s right, his job is making him sick, and his sickness is your enjoyment! We also hear about how Joe’s wife will be “Patient zero” in a coming epidemic, how governments are getting in trouble as people retire will tons of sick days and other things that have nothing to do with comics.

Believe it or not, all of this belly aching leads to a discussion on how comic shops order comics when there is a creative change. We also have spoilers for last year’s Batman movie, as Joe talks about what he’s been up to for the last couple of weeks…OK, other than staring at the wall and counting Mooses. Meese? Meeses? I don’t know, what is the plural of Moose?

They also discuss The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller and other prestige format books, early trade paperbacks as well as what Joe’s been reading, what Cory!! has been up to and an unauthorized song about The Hulk. Yeah, that’s right, Nobody loves the Hulk. NOBODY.
